"Sex is different. I feel I’ve awakened some dark part of me that wasn’t there before. We act animalistic as if to tear each other open. As if the answer to life, to our hurt, our emptiness, our longing, our meaning, can be found between now and morning. Angry. Lusting. Hungry. To feel something, anything, everything, then nothing at all. I don’t like when he asks. Just do. Don’t ask if you can tear my shirt, just do it. And he does. I’ve got three shredded t-shirts this week to prove it. Bite marks. Scratches. From my inner thigh to the nape of my neck. My body a map of my transgressions. I wear my sins openly on skin. I trace the bruise on my neck and with the faintest pressure I’m lost again. I don’t know if we seek to unearth or squander ours emotions. But it is the only time my mind settles, my instincts lead. That’s the problem with our society isn’t it? Unlike animals we do not have instincts telling us what we must do, nor do we live in a society where the church or state tell us what we should so…so most of the time we rarely even know what we wish to do. We are lost. Alienated from each other. From humanity. We psychoanalyze to the point of paralyzation. We are made to feel guilty for wanting anything. For feeling too good. For feeling bad. For truly feeling at all. For feeling nothing at all. Ha the absurdity of it all."

What does it feel like to fly over planet Earth?
A time-lapse taken from the front of the International Space Station as it orbits our planet at night. This movie begins over the Pacific Ocean and continues over North and South America before entering daylight near Antarctica. Visible cities, countries and landmarks include (in order) Vancouver Island, Victoria, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles. Phoenix. Multiple cities in Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. Mexico City, the Gulf of Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, El Salvador, Lightning in the Pacific Ocean, Guatemala, Panama, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Lake Titicaca, and the Amazon.
